Abstract

The leadership of the madrasah’s headmaster has a considerable influence on the development of students, including in terms of religiosity. This study uses a descriptive method, with a qualitative approach. In this context religious culture is optimizing the religious values of students which contribute to the professionalism of madrasa principals in leading Islamic education institutions. The madrasa principal's steps in implementing religious culture can be seen by setting the agenda, formulating policies and establishing religious culture policies. the forms of applying religious culture are carried out by the head of the madrasa with the tahfidzul qur'an and 60 hadith programs, the habit of congregational prayers, the habit of Friday infaq and humanitarian activities, the 30-minute morning recitation, and the morning greeting march program
